Post 4

In this post, I'm going to write about the process of our group project. Our project theme was mental health and its main goal was to decrease students' problems with mental health issues. We wanted to create something helpful for the pandemic time for one of us. The project process itself went smoothly and nicely with no significant problems.  For instance, we didn't have any problems picking the project subject or deciding group member roles. I think our group had a great team spirit, which is one reason that the project ended well. The theme of the project was interesting so I believe it was one reason why our group was so keen on it.  My role in this project was as a marketing assistant. I mostly publish advertisements for our software to achieve the renown of the App. What I couldn't expect was the all curious from the audience. I got a lot of feedback, how our software could help students these days. Some criticize how we thought to get users after the pandemic.

Post 3 - Book review

Hi everyone! Hopefully your all skiing holiday went well! 😎 In this post, I will tell you about the book which I picked for this exercise. Because I am interested in web development I picked "Javascript for Modern Web Development: Building a Web Application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript" from Ranjan, etc. (2020). From the book, I read chapters on CSS and JavaScript.  Why web development? From the first course of web-based coding, I keen on it and somehow it was fun to see in a visual way what is possible to build with code. Therefore, I would love to learn more about CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript, so I thought to read these chapters of this book. So basically CSS is a must-have skill in web development besides HTML.  According to the book, HTML is the content definer and CSS defines content visuality. Briefly, CSS has two main parts: a selector (e.g. <p>) and a declaration block (e.g. { color: blue; font-family: "Arial"}). There are three CSS

Mind yourself App

Hi,  In this post I will tell you about the ECIP course's project which is mental health app called as Mind yourself. We thought that in these days we are struggling more with our own minds and loneliness. Especially students will run into this kind of problems through the decreased social life.  The point of our app is to help high education institution students in mental health problems all over the country. We wanted app which makes easier for students to get help to their problems. In my opinion, similar apps and services nowadays doesn't offer as quick and efficient help as they should. Mind yourself app provides both of these features.  Of our group I decided to write about usability of this app. As I told above of the post, ease of the mental healthcare app is one main property of our goals. So we have our´s sight set on the effortless usage. Application usage will be seamless between mental health specialists and students. In this case seamless usage means quick commun

First post

Hi! Welcome to my tasty cheesy blog! My name is Sara, and I am 24-year-old computer science student. I am on my third year with my studies.   I have written own blog many years ago but that was just a hobby…   (my blog never achieved more than two readers :D) But this is a great opportunity to start again! Let’s start from me: On my spare time I usually do some sports like gym, jogging or Finnish baseball which is mine main hobby. I have played Finnish baseball about 13 years.   Otherwise, I spend (endless) time watching Netflix or TikTok videos. In fact, I don’t even know how I’m drifted with that application… Some how it is so tempted to watch weird but good dance videos. And then something very entertaining text: So, today is Valentine’s Day and I have done nothing but this blog text.   Somehow it was difficult to write this blog without any specific topic. I did not find any interesting topic which I could have written about. Some of you might wonder what the heck is my
