Mind yourself App
Hi,
In this post I will tell you about the ECIP course's project which is mental health app called as Mind yourself. We thought that in these days we are struggling more with our own minds and loneliness. Especially students will run into this kind of problems through the decreased social life.
The point of our app is to help high education institution students in mental health problems all over the country. We wanted app which makes easier for students to get help to their problems. In my opinion, similar apps and services nowadays doesn't offer as quick and efficient help as they should. Mind yourself app provides both of these features.
Of our group I decided to write about usability of this app. As I told above of the post, ease of the mental healthcare app is one main property of our goals. So we have our´s sight set on the effortless usage. Application usage will be seamless between mental health specialists and students. In this case seamless usage means quick communication between these parties.
It is important to make usability easier for users that they feel like they want to use our application. Therefore, we create seamless and targeted chat environment. With targeted chat we connect the right person with the right problem. E. g. student has difficulties to manage time with his studies and suffer depression symptoms. This student marks the boxes to match his issues and application calculates the right specialists to chat with.
Also students can search information of several common mental health problems and get tips to relieve and help their situation in the first place.
Hi!
VastaaPoistaI really think that getting an app like this to the market is a blessing for many many people. Psychological problems are often neglected and this needs to change. The problem also includes poor treatment of mental health issues. The most extreme thing I've heard is that once my friend called up a healthcare center to tell them he has to get help because he had a lot going on at that time in his life. The receptionist or whatever on the phone just asked if he had suicidal thoughts. My friend said that he didn't and the nurse answered: "OK if you get suicidal thoughts, then call us again. Bye."
Not a very encouraging story haha.
Love the name btw.
Hello, This kind of app seems something that could be really in need in times like this. It was actually really close to the project our group made as well, so maybe one is really in need.
